Job Summary:

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and
maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure for deploying
modern applications. You will utilize your expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD
pipelines, containerization, and monitoring to enable smooth development and
delivery processes across multiple teams. Your role will involve close collaboration
with engineering, data, and security teams to ensure efficient and reliable operations
across Turinton’s data and AI projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design and Automation:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant infrastructure on
cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

 

Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to enable repeatable deployments..

• CI/CD Pipelines:

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, integration, and
deployment of applications.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines seamlessly
into their workflows.

 

• Containerization and Orchestration:

Develop and maintain containerized environments using Docker and
orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS.

Optimize container performance and ensure best practices for deployment
and scaling.

 

• Monitoring and Incident Management:

Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using
tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.

Ensure high availability by proactively identifying and resolving system
bottlenecks or potential points of failure.

 

 

• Collaboration and Leadership:

Partner with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the
release process and improve productivity.

Mentor junior team members, share knowledge, and drive best practices in
DevOps and infrastructure management.

• Security and Compliance:

Implement robust security measures, including identity and access
management, vulnerability scanning, and incident response plans.

Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for cloud and
on-premises environments.

• Continuous Improvement:

Stay abreast of the latest trends and tools in DevOps and cloud technologies.

Identify opportunities to enhance deployment efficiency, reliability, and
scalability.

Qualifications:

• Experience:

8+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on cloud-native and
containerized environments.

Proven experience designing and managing infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or
Google Cloud.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

 

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and
Kubernetes.

Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools
(e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Strong knowledge of networking, load balancing, and DNS configurations in
cloud environments.

Solid understanding of security best practices, including securing pipelines,
managing secrets, and enforcing policies.

 

 

• Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex
systems.

Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to
stakeholders.

Leadership and mentoring abilities to inspire and guide team members.

• Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
